Finned Tubular Heaters

Finned tubular heaters are used in a wide variety of applications, but are mostly used in forced convection heating.

Characteristics
Finned tubular heaters consist of steel tubular heaters on which fins are permanently brazed which increase the watt density per square inch of the element.

Finned tubular heaters are only offered in steel sheath as well as steel fins. These heaters can be painted with aluminum refractory paint in order to protect if form oxidation if required. Steel finned tubular heaters have a limited surface temperature of about 425ºC.

It is important to note that temperature of course will vary depending on velocity, air temperature and of the linear surface of the heater. Therefore it is important to know how to determine the linear surface area per inch required to generate the heat you need.

Finned tubular heaters can be formed in any shape, such as tubular heaters. Minimum radius of curvature, depending on the outside diameter are available on the table of standard dimensions of heater formation.

Like tubular heaters, finned tubular heaters are available with different terminations depending on how the heater will be mounted
